DESCRIPTION:GP circuit Drift or Drive. \nWednesday 17th August 6.30pm to 10.30pm. \nDrift or Drive/ Grip or Drift call it what you like.\nIt is a mix of a drift day crossed with a drive day.\nNo timing or competition.\nSome cars will drive parts and drift parts.\nSome cars just drift and some cars will just drive. \nThere is no requirement that you must just drift or just drive.\nThe requirements are that you can stay on track.\nYou do not drive slowly\, It is not a race but it is not a cruise.\nYou need to be moving and not slowing down in the corners to do power skids on the straights. \nThis is NOT a beginner or first timers event.\nThis is for experienced drifters and drivers.\nIf you can not stay on the track you will be removed. \nCars will be released from pit lane in singles\, pairs or groups pending what the entrants would like to do. With a gap between\, pending the previously released cars or car.\nCars can drive or drift the GP circuit. No drift areas being the main straight and turn 1.\nWe will be running open pit lane no stopping on track.\nThe maximum entrant capacity is 60 \nEntry Costs\nGP circuit 360 pre paid before thursday 4th August 410 if paying after 4th August 2022. \nNote we only have access to 36 garages. The first 36 people booked and paid will get the front and back of a garage. DESCRIPTION:North Circuit 1st December 10am to 2pm\nDrift or Drive.\nBest described as a mix of a drift day crossed with a drive day.\nNo timing or competition\nSome cars will drive parts and drift parts.\nSome cars just drift and some cars that will just drive.\nThere is no requirement that you must just drift or just drive.\nThe requirements are that you can stay on track.\nYou do not drive slowly\, It is not a race but it is not a cruise.\nYou need to be moving and not slowing down in the corners to do power skids on the straights.\nThis is NOT a beginner or fist timers event.\nThis is for experienced drifters and drivers.\nIf you can not stay on the track you will be removed.\nCars will be released from pit lane in singles\, pairs or groups pending what the entrants would like to do. With a gap between\, pending the previously released cars or car.\nCars can drive or drift the north circuit. No drift areas being the main straight and turn 1.\nWe will be running open pit lane no stopping on track.\nMaximum entrant capacity is 40\nCost is 300 with a garage\nCars could be registered or unregistered as long as they comply with the requirements below.\n\nScrutiny info\nGeneral\n.No oil\, fuel or water leaks.\n.All wheel nuts must be fitted and tightened.\n.No loose objects or sharp edges in the driver’s compartment. Cars must be presented for scrutineering clear of ALL loose items with drivers apparel and helmet.\n.Cars must have all exterior body panels on and bolted securely. Exceptions are made for front and/or rear bars. If running no front or rear bars there must be no sharp edges.\n.Doors must be fitted with side intrusion bars unmodified unless an approved safety cage with side intrusion bars is installed.\n.The Front windscreen must not have cracks that obscure the driver’s vision.\n.Oil catch cans must be able to contain hot oil safely. Plastic drink bottles or tin cans are not an option.\n.Oil catch cans must be 2 liters or greater. Registered vehicles do not require a catch can if fitted with the standard engine breather system.\n.The firewall must be completely sealed (no holes) from the engine bay to the driver’s compartment.\n.The cooling system must have an overflow bottle or tank minimum of 1 liter.\n.No moving engine parts will protrude from the bonnet.\n.Seats must be mounted securely with all correct bolts fitted. High tensile M8 nuts\, bolts minimum.\n.Seats must be in good condition. With minimal to no movement in the adjustment mechanisms.\n.No tears\, fraying or damage to the seat belt or harness webbing.\n.If running harness type seat belts they must be in date and have clearly marked standards and expiry dates.\n.The harness shoulder straps shall be directed to the rear and installed in such a way that they do not make an angle greater than 40° to the horizontal from the occupant’s shoulder\n.Where a safety harness is affixed to an un-reinforced section of the body shell\, each attachment point shall be reinforced by a steel plate not less than 75mm x 50mm x 3mm.\n.All four brakes must be operational from the foot brake pedal.\n.Front and rear hazard lights must be operational.\n.Brake lights must be operational.\n.If headlights are glass the lights must have an adhesive cover of a color other than red to prevent broken glass\, clear protective film is recommended.\n.Battery must be firmly clamped and in a sealed compartment or box if fitted within the passenger compartment or in a compartment with a fuel system (cable ties and ratchet straps are not acceptable mounting for the battery).\n.Vehicles must display a blue triangle of sides 150mm indicating the location of the battery.\n\nExhaust\n.Exhaust system must end outside the perimeter of the bodywork. If directed sideways\, the exhaust outlet/s must be located rearward of the midpoint of the wheelbase and shall not project more than 50mm beyond the body work.\n\nFuel System\n.All fuel system components must be secured and be completely sealed from the passenger compartment. This includes fuel lines.\n.Aftermarket fuel tanks must have a roll over valve and pigtail hose which does not vent into the passenger compartment.\n.Nitrous oxide or LPG systems are permitted. The tanks or bottle MUST be securely fastened to prevent movement during an accident. The system MUST be free from leaks. The system MUST also be part of the car’s main electrical system and shut off when the car is turned off or stalled.\n.If using LPG/Nitrous Oxide an appropriate label MUST be placed on the front and rear guards of the car so that if there is an incident\, track officials are aware of the nitrous or lpg system.\n.Methanol is not allowed.\n\nFire extinguishers\n.Are not required however are recommended. If you do have an extinguisher see below.\n.Must be securely attached with nuts and bolts. DESCRIPTION:The idea behind the event is most of us own cars that can blitz what is legal on the road or the car itself is modified beyond road rules or a track only car. This event gives drivers the opportunity to drive their cars to their potential whether it be going fast in a straight line or fast around corners or to drift or a mix of them all. It is not about competition \, no winner or prizes either formal or informal for the driving parts of the event. The event is for entrants to have fun in their cars in the safest possible way. \nThere will be trophies for the static show car part of the event. For all static show entrant info please see the Tuned event page \nDrift or Drive. \nBlue is best described as a mix of drifting crossed with a drive day crossed with a hill climb.\nNo timing or competition\nSome cars will drive parts and drift parts.\nSome cars just drift and some cars that just drive.\nThere is no requirement that you must drift or drive.\nThe requirement is that you do not drive slowly. It is not a race but it is not a cruise.\nYou need to be moving and not slowing down in the corners to do power skids on the straights. Cars will be released from the start line (the blue line) in singles\, pairs or groups pending what the entrants would like to do.\nWith a gap between\, pending the previously released cars or car. Cars can drive or drift turns 2\,3\,4\,5\,6\,14 and\,15. cars can drift into turn 15 and through turn 15 exit for 50 meters then slow down to exit the circuit.\nsee the yellow line between turn 15 and turn 16 for circuit exit. \nDig or Roll.\nGreen on the main straight\nYou can choose to run from the Dig being a stationary start.\nOr from the Roll being a rolling start\nNo timing or competition or elimination.\nJust line up and get as many runs as possible for the time given.\nThe 4 yellow lines are\n1 random dig\n2 mates dig\n3 random roll\n4 mates roll\nEntrants go into the lines they want pending which option they want.\nTo line up your mate line up in front or behind them from the Dig.\nFor entrants that would want to start from the dig (dig being stationary)\nThe starter would get the drivers to stop on the start line once both cars have the front wheel on the line.\nThe starter would then walk to either the left or right of the track and flash on a torch to start the drivers. From the roll.\nDrivers would stop at a point approximately 50 to 80 meters before the dig start line.\nThen drive together to be at between 35 to 45 Km/ph.\nJust before they cross the dig start line. If they are within approximately half a meter the starter will turn the green light on.\nIf they are not within half a meter or one driver has accelerated early the starter will turn on the amber light showing that one driver jumped the start. The red light will only be used to show that the track is closed or not running due to some sort of stoppage or issue \,eg oil down or other. \n\nGrey on the map is the braking areas for both drift or drive and dig or roll. Red is a slow zone as the 2 different activities are using the same entry back to the pit area. At the start of the red zones there will be barriers that make chicanes used to slow cars down and funnel cars into a tight 1 lane. Drivers MUST drive at 20km/h or less as cars are oncoming to each other using the same circuit exit. Tuned will be running their JDM Festival on the grandstand side of the straight in the north pit and half of the south pit. \nMaximum entrant capacity numbers for driving activities:\n100 for the straight line.\n50 for the drift /drive.\n32 for the skid pan. \nCars could be registered or unregistered as long as they comply with requirements. \nDrift or Drive on the circuit: $200\nYou get car and driver entry. Garage is excluded.\nIf you choose to not get a garage or carport you will have to pit on either the figure 8 or on the far side of the south circuit pit area. \nDig or Roll on circuit straight: $100\nYou get car and driver entry. Garage is excluded.\nIf you choose to not get a garage or carport you will have to pit on either the figure 8 or on the south circuit pit area near part of the tuned show n shine \nSkid pan: $120 for members or $160 for non-members\nSkid pan entrants will have the first 7 carports to share to leave your gear and spares. \nFor all Display or Show n Shine inquiries please contact Tuned via FB. \nGarage hire: $70\nYou will get front and rear of the garage and a support vehicle pass.\nThe front of the garage can be for the car you are entering\, the back half of the garage can be for supporting vehicle and gear.\nOr as an option: 2 friends could split the garage cost and 1 car takes the front of the garage and 1 car takes the back of the garage. \nCarport hire: $30\nThere is no support vehicle pass. The car port is a place to leave your gear while driving or park the car while not driving. \nSpectators: $20 at the gate \nPassenger Cost: $30\nPassenger cost is $50 at accreditation being $20 for spectator fee and $30 to go as a passenger.\nIf you are already inside the venue as a paid spectator the passenger fee is $30. \nPlease note there is no parking in the north pit area. The north pit and half of the south pit is for show car display and parking. Only the garages\, car ports\, part of the dummy grid and figure 8 can be used to park/pit cars while not running. \n  \nTrailers\nNo trailers can enter the north pit area after 6.30 pm. Unloading and loading of cars from trailers can be done on the figure 8 or dummy grid in front of the medical centre or on the far side of block D in the north pit. Note the unloading areas on the map are not to park they are to unload and load only.\nUnloading areas have a 15 minute maximum to unload or load. Trailer Parking is in p3 or p5. Entrants with large enclosed trailers can park trailers on the grass area of the figure 8 to have their gear close to them. There are only 40 garages and 27 carports available so be quick if you want one. \nPrice change The entrant price will change after 1 month with a price increase of $50 for entrants who have not entered in the first month. Entries open 4th May. The entry fee will rise by $50 on the 7th of June. To avoid the price rise please book by filling in the entry form and paying in full before June 7.
